St Mary’s Cathedral (15th – 17th centuries)
A major site on the route to Santiago de Compostela designated on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

It is one of the most recent cathedrals in France but also one of its vastest and richest: over 100 m long and 40 m wide with 2 towers 44 m high framing the superb Renaissance façade. Started in 1489, its construction took 200 years.

and its 113 stalls, incomparable iconographic ensemble with over 1,500 characters sculpted in oak.


masterpiece of Arnaud de Moles, a marvel of luminosity, are found in 10 chapels. They offer a vision of the world from the Creation to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and comment the theme in the parallelism between the Old and the New Testaments.
