Thanks to its privileged location, Duran has encountered one of the strongest growth in the Gers.  The church dedicated to St. Lucia of Syracuse, set alight in the 16th century by Protestants was then altered to present a square bell tower (restored in 1984) and an interesting architecture (buttresses, spire). 

Do not miss:
- the altarpiece and a Piéta (1770).
- the old windmill which up until 1995 was used as an observatory by the Astronomical Society of Gascony.

Several events are organised during the year such as theatre plays, concerts, painting exhibitions (July) etc…
